YOGA & MINDFULNESS
The session between two contemplative practices involving body, emotion, mind-heart and subtle energies.

Two practices, the same quality of presence
Yoga & Mindfulness programmes bring together two ancient practices: mindfulness meditation and Yoga. Both share principles that help cultivate a quality of presence through which we can awaken to life and its infinite nuances.
Both take into consideration the human organism in its entirety: body, emotions, thoughts and subtle energies.
Heart-mind
In these traditions, when we speak of mind, we refer to the unitary dimension of mind and heart and to the interconnection between our thoughts and our emotions.
Mindfulness, Bodyfulness and Heartfulness
The term Mindfulness, literally ‘fullness of mind’, invites us to return to the experience of a mind free from excessive mental activity. This involves returning to the body time and again, until listening becomes free from the mind’s conditioning.
Yoga is a powerful tool to bring attention to the body. We can talk about Bodyfulness, the possibility of returning to the full perception of the body and its voice. In both terms, fullness indicates care, attention, friendliness, delicacy, deep listening and love: qualities that lead also to a fullness of the heart, or Heartfulness.
The Contemplative Dimension
Mindfulness meditation and Yoga are contemplative practices: they imply an observation that comes from a space of recollection and concentration, in which we look at some aspects of human experience for a long time and with interest, opening ourselves to wonder.
The process before the position
Mindfulness Yoga prefers attention to the process rather than reaching a specific position. It invites you to open up to the constant change of experience and to return every time to listening to the present moment.
Gradually freeing us from the layers of conditioning and effort, the quality of attention can return simpler, calm and peaceful. Exploring with kindness limits and potentialities of the body supports listening to itself and a welcoming attitude, not judging and friendly.
Scientific evidence indicates that awareness developed through Yoga and Mindfulness can have positive effects on quality of life, mood, cognitive functioning and regulation of the autonomous nervous system, contributing to stress reduction.
