7 sessions programme
Mindfulness & Polyvagal Theory Meditation
Meeting stress and regulating the nervous system, while supporting safety, connection, awareness and attention so that we can live more actively and spontaneously.
The Mindfulness Practice
Mindfulness is a particular state of awareness that connects us with our deepest resources, awakening quality such as openness to life, patience, trust and creativity. It also allows a greater ability to face the stress and challenges of everyday life.
The Polyvagal Theory Map
Polyvagal Theory places the functioning of the Autonomic Nervous System at the heart of human experience: its ability to recognise cues of danger or safety and regulate itself accordingly.
It provides an experiential map that we can use to recognize the autonomous state in which we are, to self-regulate and move from discomfort to a state of greater connection and well-being.
The integration of the two practices
The integration between Mindfulness practice and Polyvagal Theory enhances self-awareness, self-compassion and emotional regulation.
- Recognize more clearly the responses to stress.
- Cultivate security and connection.
- Support awareness and attention skills.
- Developing emotional self-regulation tools.
How it takes place
